What We're Looking For
The Assistant Athletics Director of Learning Support serves an important role in the Student Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE) department through a variety of responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Completion of Master's degree. Excellent oral and interpersonal communication, analytical, and writing skills. Excellent computer (Microsoft Office) skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines. Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends.
*Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Provide comprehensive leadership to the Learning Support unit through creation/implementation of an academic support vision
- Supervise and lead full time and part time team members/direct reports
- Develop and facilitate academic programming for select group of student-athletes
- Serve as a learning specialist for a caseload of students
- Serve as liaison for disability services and other entities dealing with testing (e.g., sports psych, athletic medicine)
- Review and asses educational documentation and testing
- Create and implement intentional processes that lead to successful implementation and sustained success
- Meet with prospective student-athletes and their families
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
